The distance between The Marina of Andijk and Lelytad is about 22 miles
Lelystad, one of the youngest towns in the Netherlands(1966),is also the capital of Flevoland. It al started in 1951
with the former construction island of Lelystad-Haven, later incororated into Lelystad.
Te erea's first timber houses and barracks are real attractions and have been nominated to become listed buildings.
Lelystad used to be nothing more than a desolate area filled with sand; today it's an allround city full of nature and culture.
With: attractions, recreational and sporting activities, a big shopping centre and the wonderful nature preserve: the Oostvaardersplassen.
The main attraction is Batavia Stad with the Batavia Wharf, in which replica of the 17th century ship of the same name is anchored.
